We donated to Himalayan HealthCare towards Covid-19 pandemic second wave in Nepal

May 21, 2021 By ArunasNepalRelief

Yesterday we donated $400.00 to Himalayan HealthCare.  Rather than donate directly to the government we have done hands on trips to Nepal so we stick to donating here in the US and Nepal directly to the smaller non profits who are transparent and we have worked with before and trust and know the funds will get directly to the people in need whether it is in the form of medical help or direct funds!  Photos and stories of how they are using the funds coming to you soon as I we hear directly from HHC on all the good work they are doing!
Thank you to all our tennis students and all other donors past and present for all you do!  Our heart goes out to Nepal and India as the new vaiants of COVID 19 ravages the countries!  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all! Stay strong!

The following is taken from Himalayan HealthCare!
“Please help Himalayan HealthCare save lives and serve many in need during the deadly second wave of Covid-19 pandemic in Nepal. Tens of thousand of people are infected and hundreds dying everyday because of new variant/s which are more transmissible and potentially more virulent. The sad situation in neighboring India is now upon us as we share an open porous border.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, we have provided PPE, thermal guns, etc., to rural communities in Dhading District. We have helped train and test (PCR) village health providers so that they are safer and able to serve better. Our hospital in the town of Ilam was designated as the quarantine center for the region for several months.
We have ordered oxygen concentrator machines for Covid isolation camps or villages so that patients with breathlessness can begin to fight the virus early and hopefully not be hospitalized. We will also provide packages of medicines, PPE, thermal guns, pulse oxymeter, hand sanitizer, etc., where we find the need.

HHC has been on the frontline of disaster relief in Nepal since the civil war in 1996. For HHC’s work and service in 29 years please visit our website www.himalayanhealthcare.org ”
